Reliable Fence Contractor
A Local Surrey Fencing Company
APNA has worked throughout Surrey, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley for more than two decades. We build new fences, replace failing fences and install perimeter fencing for residential and commercial properties.
We start with the practical details: fence length, material, access, grade, drainage, gates and existing structures. You get a clear scope before installation starts.
Fence Materials for Surrey Properties
We install five fencing materials for Surrey homes, businesses and multi-unit properties. Each material handles privacy, maintenance and security differently.

Chain Link
Chain link fence installation is practical for yards, dog runs, sports areas, schools, commercial sites and property boundaries. It provides strength without blocking sightlines.

Composite
Composite fence builders install low maintenance privacy fencing that resists moisture, rot and pests. Composite suits owners who want a uniform finish without regular staining.

Metal
Metal fence installation services suit properties that need security, visibility and a clean finished look. Metal fencing works around homes, businesses, entrances and perimeter areas.

Vinyl
Vinyl fencing for privacy gives Surrey homeowners a clean, consistent finish. Vinyl doesn't need painting or staining and comes in several styles.

Wood
Wood fence contractors build cedar and wood fences for backyard privacy, property separation and custom layouts. Wood works well when you want a natural finish and flexible design options.
Landscaping for Surrey Yards
APNA is a fencing company first. We also handle landscaping work that helps complete a yard after installing a new fence. Small changes to grading, garden borders or outdoor areas can make the space easier to use.

Fencing for Surrey Properties
Surrey includes detached homes, townhouse complexes, commercial properties and larger sites. We plan fencing work around each property type’s needs.

Residential Fencing
We build fences for Surrey homeowners who need privacy, security or a replacement for an old fence. Wood, vinyl and composite fences are common choices for backyards, side yards and shared boundaries.

Commercial Fence Installation
Our commercial fence contractors install perimeter fences, security fencing and larger commercial projects. We plan the work around site access, daily operations and required gate locations.

Strata Fence Installation
We install fences for Surrey strata properties and multi-unit communities. We work with property managers and strata councils to coordinate access, communicate project details and keep the job site orderly.

Fencing Is Our Main Work
Fences need to fit the lot, the purpose and the material. We install wood, vinyl, composite, metal and chain link fences for Surrey homes, commercial properties and strata sites. We explain the options clearly and recommend a fence that fits the job.
Work That Holds Up
A Surrey fence may need to deal with wet ground, tight side access, sloped yards, older posts or shared property lines. We assess the site before the work begins. Our crew sets posts, runs straight lines and installs gates that open and close properly.
Your Fence in 3 Easy Steps
We keep the process simple, clear and stress free from the first call to the final post.

Measure and Discuss the Project
We visit your Surrey property, review the area and take measurements. You can explain what you need from the fence and we can review materials, height and gate options.

Select the Material and Layout
Choose the fence style that fits your property and budget. We confirm the fence line, material, height and any required gates before work begins.

Install the Fence
Our crew completes the installation, keeps the work area tidy and reviews the finished fence with you. The fence is built for daily use and Lower Mainland weather.

8 years ago we replaced our corner lot with a wood fence with trellis. Our front 2 panels that face south got weathered beyond repair. Originally we thought about replacing the 2 panels with composite. We called around looking for quotes until we found Jason and apna landscaping and fencing. We were quoted almost half the price of every other fence company from burnaby to chilliwack. At first I thought I was going to get what I pay for, as we were really in a situation that if the winter hit our fence would fall. The entire west and south side of our property got replaced not just with a metal fence but a gorgeous looking perfectly installed fence with 2 gates. I cannot recommend apna and Jason enough. I am so overwhelmed with happiness that I now make stupid dad jokes about this fence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart that I found you guys!

Surrey Fencing FAQs
Can you remove my old fence before installing a new one?
Yes. We can remove old wood panels, damaged posts, wire fencing and existing gates before building the new fence. During the estimate, we assess disposal, access, post removal and any landscaping or structures close to the fence line.
Can a new fence be installed beside a retaining wall?
It depends on the retaining wall, the fence height and the condition of the site. We assess the wall, grade and fence layout before recommending an installation method. In Surrey, retaining walls over 1.2 m may require a permit when they support ground that is important to building-foundation stability or are located on sloping hillsides. Retaining walls must also remain within the property, easements and restrictive covenant areas.
Do I need to locate underground utilities before fence
Yes. Fence post digging can affect underground utility lines. Before installation, identify and mark underground utilities so the crew can plan post locations safely. Let us know about irrigation, outdoor lighting, drainage lines or private utilities that may cross the yard.
Can you build a fence around a swimming pool in Surrey?
Yes. Pool fencing has additional safety requirements. Surrey requires private pools above a specified size to have a sturdy enclosure at least 1.2 m high with openings no larger than 100 mm. Pool gates must be self closing, lock when not in use and have the required latch placement. A pool cover is not a substitute for a compliant fence.
What should I do if a fence line is close to an easement?
Check the title documents and confirm the easement before starting any fence work. Easements can restrict where structures may be placed and utility access must remain available. We can review the proposed fence line during the site visit, but you should confirm legal property boundaries and easement conditions with the appropriate professional or authority.
Can I choose the height and style of my fence?
Yes. We help you choose the material, height, panel style and gate layout based on privacy, security, maintenance, budget and the look of the property. We also flag site conditions that may affect the design, including slope, front yard placement, retaining walls and access.
