Reliable Fence Contractor
Serving Maple Ridge Properties
APNA Fencing and Landscaping installs fences for homeowners, strata councils, property managers and businesses across Maple Ridge. Our work includes backyard privacy fences, replacement fences, commercial perimeters, access gates and fencing for multi-unit properties.
You receive a written estimate based on the actual property. We consider the total fence length, material, post locations, gate openings, terrain, removal requirements and site access.
Fencing for Maple Ridge Lots
Maple Ridge includes compact residential lots, townhouse developments and larger properties near rural or greenbelt areas. A longer boundary fence may need vehicle access for materials and a driveway gate, while a smaller yard may need a privacy fence that works around decks, garden beds and established trees. We plan the fence line around the site instead of forcing a standard layout.
Fence Materials for Maple Ridge Properties
We install five fence materials. The right choice depends on your required privacy, maintenance level, security needs and budget.

Chain Link
Chain link fence options are durable and cost effective for yards, pet areas, sports spaces, commercial lots and longer property boundaries. Chain link provides security while keeping the area visible.

Composite
Composite privacy fence installation provides a uniform finish with low upkeep. Composite resists moisture, rot and pests, making it suitable for owners who do not want to stain or paint a fence regularly.

Metal
Metal perimeter fencing provides strength and a clean appearance for homes, business sites, entry areas and security focused projects. It is a practical option when visibility matters.

Vinyl
Vinyl fence builders install low maintenance privacy fencing for Maple Ridge yards. Vinyl has a consistent appearance and does not require painting or staining.

Wood
Wood privacy fence services provide a natural look with flexible style, height and layout choices. Wood fencing works well for backyard privacy, property separation and custom gate designs.
Landscaping After a New Fence
APNA is a fencing company first. We also provide landscaping work that helps finish the area around a fence after installation. This can include cleanup, grading, garden edge work, hardscaping and practical outdoor improvements.
Fencing for Homes, Businesses and Strata
We install fencing for three common property types. Each requires its own planning for layout, access and scheduling.

Residential Fencing
We build new and replacement fences for Maple Ridge homeowners. Choose from wood, vinyl, composite, metal or chain link based on the level of privacy, security and maintenance you need. Commercial Fence Installation

Commercial Fence Installation
We offer commercial fence installation for business perimeters, equipment areas, storage yards and controlled access sites. We plan gate placement and installation timing around the way the property operates.

Strata Fence Installation
We install fencing for townhouse developments, multi-unit properties and strata communities. We work with property managers and strata councils to confirm the scope, coordinate site access and maintain an organized work area.
Why Maple Ridge Owners Choose APNA
A Family Run Fencing Company
Devinder founded APNA Fencing and Landscaping in 2001 and operates the business with his son. Visit our About APNA Fencing page to learn more about the company. We stay involved from the estimate to the completed fence.
Fencing Is What We Do
A fence needs to suit the property. Maple Ridge projects can involve larger yards, sloped ground, mature trees, drainage ditches, narrow side access or long property lines. We assess the fence route before work begins and plan around the conditions we find.
A Reliable Burnaby Fencing Contractor
We measure the work area, review the fence material and confirm the layout before installation. Our fencing team removes old fencing where needed, sets posts securely, aligns panels and keeps the work area tidy.
Your Fence Project in Three Steps
We keep the process simple, clear and stress free from the first call to the final post.

Measure the Property
We visit the site, discuss how you will use the fence and take measurements. We review material choices, fence height, property access and required gates.

Confirm the Fence Plan
You receive a straightforward estimate. Once approved, we confirm the fence material, layout, removal work and installation schedule.

Install and Review
Our fencing contractors install the fence, remove old materials where included and keep the site orderly. We review the completed work with you before the project is finished.

8 years ago we replaced our corner lot with a wood fence with trellis. Our front 2 panels that face south got weathered beyond repair. Originally we thought about replacing the 2 panels with composite. We called around looking for quotes until we found Jason and apna landscaping and fencing. We were quoted almost half the price of every other fence company from burnaby to chilliwack. At first I thought I was going to get what I pay for, as we were really in a situation that if the winter hit our fence would fall. The entire west and south side of our property got replaced not just with a metal fence but a gorgeous looking perfectly installed fence with 2 gates. I cannot recommend apna and Jason enough. I am so overwhelmed with happiness that I now make stupid dad jokes about this fence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart that I found you guys!

Maple Ridge Fencing FAQs
How high can a residential fence be in Maple Ridge?
Maple Ridge’s zoning bylaw generally limits fences in residential front yards and exterior side yards to 1.2 meters. Fences in residential rear yards and interior side yards can generally be up to 2 meters. Corner lot visibility rules can also affect the allowed height. Confirm your current zoning requirements and exact fence location before construction begins.
Does fence height include a retaining wall?
It can. Maple Ridge has specific rules for fences installed on or beside retaining walls and the total combined height may affect whether the design complies. Retaining walls can also trigger separate permit requirements depending on height and site conditions. We can assess the proposed layout during the estimate, but confirm permit and bylaw requirements with the City before construction.
Can you replace a fence without disturbing my garden?
We plan around garden beds, shrubs and established landscaping where practical. Show us the areas you want protected during the site visit. Some post locations may need to change to avoid roots, irrigation lines or planting areas.
What type of fence works best for a large Maple Ridge yard?
The best material depends on how you plan to use it. Chain link is often practical for long property lines, pet areas and open visibility. Wood, vinyl and composite are common choices when privacy near the home is the priority. We can recommend a material after reviewing the length, terrain, gates and maintenance expectations.
Can you build a driveway gate into a new fence?
Yes. We install single gates, double driveway gates and access gates. The right gate width depends on vehicles, equipment, garbage access or trailer clearance. We confirm the opening, swing direction and latch location during the site assessment.
Do I need a special fence around a swimming pool?
Yes. Maple Ridge requires qualifying private swimming pools to be enclosed by a compliant barrier at least 1.2 meters high. The enclosure must meet opening and climbability limits and gates must self close and latch or lock when not in use. Confirm the current pool requirements before installing or changing a pool fence.
Can fencing be installed near protected trees?
Fence work near a protected tree needs careful planning. Maple Ridge’s Tree Protection and Management Bylaw requires a permit to cut, remove or prune protected trees, including their roots. Identify trees and root zones during the estimate so we can review the fence layout before digging starts.
