Family Owned & Operated
25+ Years of Fencing Experience
Reliable Fence Contractor
Serving Langley Homes and Businesses
APNA works across Langley, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. We install privacy fences around family homes, durable perimeter fencing for businesses and consistent fencing for strata properties.
Langley includes urban neighbourhoods, newer developments and larger rural or semi rural properties. Fence design can change with lot size, access, grade, drainage and the purpose of the enclosure. We account for those conditions during the estimate instead of applying one layout to every job.
Langley fence projects vary widely by neighbourhood and lot type. A newer Willoughby townhouse may need a clean privacy fence along a shared boundary, while a Brookswood or Murrayville property may need longer fence runs, wider gates or practical fencing around a larger yard. We assess the fence line, access, grade and intended use before recommending a layout.
Fencing Materials for Langley Properties
We install five materials. The right one depends on the amount of privacy, maintenance and security you need.

Chain Link
Chain link fencing services work well for dog runs, sport areas, property boundaries, commercial yards and larger sites. Chain link is durable and keeps sightlines open.

Composite
Low maintenance composite fences give you privacy without the regular staining associated with wood. Composite resists moisture, rot and pests.

Metal
Metal fencing contractors install strong fencing for homes, commercial properties, entrances and perimeter areas. Metal fencing offers security and an open finished appearance.

Vinyl
Vinyl fence installation gives backyards a clean, consistent privacy fence that does not need painting or staining. Vinyl is available in several panel styles and heights.

Wood
Cedar and wood fence installation suits Langley properties that need a natural look, custom height or a specific layout. Wood fences can be built for privacy, boundaries and gate access.
Landscaping After Fence Installation
APNA is a fencing company first. We also complete landscaping, including hardscaping work that helps finish the area around a new fence. This can include grading, cleanup, garden edges and outdoor space improvements where needed.
Fencing for Langley Sites
We plan fence work for homes, businesses and strata properties. The site, fence use and access requirements guide the final layout.

Residential Fencing
We build backyard privacy fences, side yard fences and replacement fences for Langley homeowners. We can help select a material and style that fits the property, intended use and budget.

Commercial Fence Installation
Commercial fencing installations are available for business perimeters, storage areas, equipment yards and access controlled sites. We plan gate locations and installation timing around the property’s operations.

Strata Fence Installation
We install fencing for townhouse complexes, multi-unit properties and strata communities. We work with property managers and strata councils to coordinate access, review the scope and keep the work area organized.

8 years ago we replaced our corner lot with a wood fence with trellis. Our front 2 panels that face south got weathered beyond repair. Originally we thought about replacing the 2 panels with composite. We called around looking for quotes until we found Jason and apna landscaping and fencing. We were quoted almost half the price of every other fence company from burnaby to chilliwack. At first I thought I was going to get what I pay for, as we were really in a situation that if the winter hit our fence would fall. The entire west and south side of our property got replaced not just with a metal fence but a gorgeous looking perfectly installed fence with 2 gates. I cannot recommend apna and Jason enough. I am so overwhelmed with happiness that I now make stupid dad jokes about this fence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart that I found you guys!

Langley Fencing FAQs
Do fence rules differ between the City and Township of Langley?
Yes. The City of Langley and the Township of Langley are separate local governments with separate zoning bylaws. Confirm which municipality applies to your address before you finalize a fence height, location or design. The City adopted Zoning Bylaw 2025, No. 3300 in March 2026 and directs detailed questions to its Development Services Department.
How high can a fence be in the Township of Langley?
In the Township of Langley, residential fences can generally be built up to 1.2 meters (4 feet) high in a front yard setback and up to 2 meters (6.5 feet) elsewhere on the lot (in side and rear yards) without requiring a permit. On corner lots, a lower limit of 1 meter (3.3 feet) applies within the sight triangle at intersections to avoid blocking driver visibility. A permit or variance is required if your fence exceeds these heights, is built on a utility easement or is integrated with a retaining wall over 1 meter.
Can you install a fence around a Langley pool?
Yes, you can install a fence around a pool in Langley, but specific safety rules apply. In the Township of Langley, a swimming pool enclosure must be at least 1.07 m (1,070 mm) high, with openings no larger than 100 mm, and include self closing and self latching gates. In the City of Langley, the building bylaw requires a continuous pool enclosure with a minimum height of 1.5 m and self latching gates. Because regulations differ between the Township and the City of Langley, always confirm the specific municipal bylaws for your property before installation.
Can you work around trees and established landscaping?
Yes. We plan fence lines around trees, garden beds, irrigation and existing landscaping where possible. During the site visit, point out roots, drainage features, private utility lines and areas you want to protect. The final post spacing or layout may need to change to avoid damaging those features.
What happens if access to my backyard is limited?
We assess access before quoting the project. Narrow side yards, stairs, decks, retaining walls and neighbouring structures can affect how materials and equipment reach the fence line. We plan the work around those limits and explain any effect on timing or labour before installation starts.
Can a fence be built for pets or livestock?
Yes. We install fences for dogs, small animals and property containment. Chain link is often suitable for durable pet enclosures while wood, vinyl and composite can provide privacy around a yard. The right height, gate latch and fence layout depend on the animal, the property and the level of containment required.
Can you match a new section to an existing fence?
Often, yes. We can assess the existing material, height, post spacing and design during the estimate. Exact matches are not always available due to age, weathering or discontinued products, but we can recommend the closest practical option.
